The piece of art was painted soon after his three-part Vienna Ceiling series. It depicts a couple locked in their moment of intimacy, while the rest of the painting dissolves into shimmering and extravagant flat pattern. It suggests the style of Art Nouveau and organic forms stemming from the Arts and Crafts movement. The background shows the conflict between two – and three-dimensionality intrinsic of modernists.  

The two figures are situated at the edge of flowery meadow. The man has a robe with black and white rectangles which are irregularly placed on gold leaf decorated with spirals. He wears also a crown of vines. The woman wears a tight-fitting dress with flower- like oval. Her hair is sprinkled with flowers and worn in a fashionable style. Her face is  highlighted by a halo-like circle.

This remarkable painting has been embedded in pure silver. Thanks to the newest techniques of mintage, the image is presented with vivid colors.
