Let`s welcome another piece within the Cook Island`s the Mother of Pearl Transport series of silver coins. This one commemorates the Jules Verne`s Captain Nemo and his Nautilus.

 
The reverse of the coin includes the image of a shipwreck – the Nautilus has sunk. In the foreground one can see some octopuses, probably wanting to make the wreck their new home. Darks colors in the image represent dark waters of the sea. Above the image, there is the inscription “Jules Verne – Nautilus”. Below it, there is its legal tender value of 50 dollars visible.

The obverse of the coin includes the image of Her Majesty Elizabeth II together with the date and place of issue – the Cook Islands.

Each of the piece is delivered in an elegant timber frame box cushioned with black fabric. Its lid is engraved and stylized to look like it is made from steel pieces joint together with some screws. The case with the coin inserted looks really elegant – it will be a perfect gift for every collector or a maritime history lover.

Due to its limited mintage (including only 750 coins available for buyers all round the world), the piece is extremely rare.
