We are proud to present another astonishing pure gold coin by the Royal Canadian Mint. The Blessings of Good Health presents another animal of traditional Chinese astrology – the monkey.
A monkey is a symbol of health, stamina and curiosity. It resembles the desires to taste the flavors of good life and health. The coin`s design by Canadian artists Chris and Rosina Reid captures the animal holding a peach in its hands. The fruit is a sacred symbol of longevity and immortality. It is also regarded as the fruit of gods – it emphases the need for long life. In the background one can notice a peach tree Its blossoms together with the fruit represent the number 9 – associated with wishes for longevity. The Chinese characters engraved on the right form the word “Canada”.
The obverse of the coin includes the effigy of Her Majesty Elizabeth II together with the proof and the inscription “D.G Regina”.
Each of the coins is delivered in a beauty presentation box and cushioned with black fabric. All the boxes include numbered certificates of authenticity.
