The next coin in the Endangered and Extinct series of pure silver coins is to commemorate the green and golden bell frog. The animal is a ground-dwelling tree frog whose green skin includes patterns of golden and brown markings. It is one of the biggest frogs living in Australia.
The reverse of the coin consists of the image of the green and golden bell frog sitting on a tree branch. In the background, one can see some water in the lower part of the design and grass. Below the animal there is the inscription “Green and Golden Bell Frog.”
The obverse includes the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the legal tender of 1 dollar and the place and date of issue.
