The fourth coin of the Australian Deadly and Dangerous series minted by the Perth Mint is going to be a success! As typical of these coins it is a stunning example of the peerless full-color minting technique used by the Perth Mint`s craftsmen.
This outstanding legal tender collector coin has been minted to celebrate one of the Australian most fearsome creatures – the Saltwater Crocodile. The Saltwater Crocodile is said to be the world`s largest living reptile and can be found in the north of Australia. It is powerful enough to attack domestic cattle horses and also humans. An adult Saltwater Crocodile can weight from 400kg to 1,500kg and measure 4 -5 meters in length. It uses “death roll” to unbalance its quarry before it drags it into water.
The new release of the Deadly and Dangerous series captures the power of Saltie`s legendary jaws upon the 40.6mm flan on the reverse. The obverse represents the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, “Tuvalu”, and its legal tender value.
