A beautiful high relief silver coin has been issued to commemorate the Dirk Hartog Australian Landing in 1616. The piece minted by Perth Mint is a good way of celebrating that historic moment.
The reverse of the coin depicts the image of a ship sailing through the waves of the ocean with its sails posed. On the left side, there is also a compass directing the ship to the north. Around the ship, there is the inscription “Dirk Hartog Landing October 1616”.
The obverse of the coin shows the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II together with the date and place of issue, legal tender value of 1 dollar.
Each piece is housed in a classic grey display case including a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Coins are delivered in a box with the graphic imitating a wooden lid engraved with decorative patterns.
The coin is available in limited mintage of only 3 000 pieces worldwide!
