Chris Facey’s project met with the approval of the living musicians of Queen, and therefore nothing stood in the way that the first band to be honoured in The Royal Mint’s numismatic series would be the creators of such hits as “Bohemian Rhapsody”.
Elegant in its conception, featuring musical instruments and the band’s name on the reverse, the coin was released in several different versions, using both gold and silver. Here you will find one of the more luxurious variants – containing 2 ounces of 0.9999 gold.
